I never really knew why some people at school always seemed to be popular and others didn’t. I didn’t know why some people seemed to be magnets for friends and attention… and other people (like me) could barely struggle to maintain people’s interest.!

For many years, I thought that maybe I simply wasn’t interesting enough for people to like me.!

Maybe I wasn’t naturally charismatic enough for people to want to be friends with me and invite me to do things.!

Maybe I was simply ‘different’ from those other outgoing people, which is why it was so difficult to form lasting connections.!
